“Good Student Discount” for Personal Auto Policies?

Did you know that many insurance companies offer up to a 10% discount for liability, medical payments, personal injury and collision premiums for designated operators who are full-time students (high school juniors and above) with a minimum GPA of 3.00?  Check with your agent to see if your youthful operator is eligible for this discount.  Insurance companies require a copy of the latest grade report and must be filed annually to maintain the credit, if eligible.

  • Companion Policy Credit  (up to 20%, depending on the specific carrier) for having an auto policy with the same company.

  • Fire, Smoke or Burglar Alarm System Credit.  Submit a copy of your most recent monitoring bill.

  • State Alarm Credit – up to 15% credit will be applied to the total policy premium for risks meeting the qualifications outlined in Section 6.a(2), Article 5.33a of the Texas Insurance Code.

  • Hail Resistant Roof Credit based on age of the roof.

  • New home credit for homes built within the last ten years.
